This study analyzes the reflective thinking skill levels of the fourth-grade primary school students (9–10 years old) toward physical activity and problem-solving according to the variables of gender, participation in school sports team, registered sports, and family income level. Also, the relationship between reflective thinking skill levels for physical activity and problem-solving and the predictive level of reflective thinking skills for problem-solving was examined. A total of 183 primary school students composed of 95 girls and 88 boys studying in central primary schools in Gümüşhane province participated in the research. The corelational design, which is among the quantitative research methods, is the dominant research method in this research. Data were obtained by using the “Reflective Thinking Skills Scale for Problem Solving” and “Physical Activity Questionnaire for Children” in the study. In the data analysis, frequency and percentage were used in order to analyze the demographic data of the students, MANOVA was used to determine possible significant differences between the sub-dimensions of the scales in the context of the variables, Pearson correlation product test was used to examine the relationship between the sub-dimensions, and multiple linear regression analysis was used to determine the extent to which students’ problem-solving reflective thinking skills predicted their physical activity levels. It has been concluded following the research that there is a positive and low-level significant relationship between physical activity and evaluation, and evaluation is an important predictor of physical activity. Moreover, it was determined that there was a significant difference between students’ reflective thinking skills for physical activity and problem-solving in terms of gender, participation in school sports teams, registered sports, and family income level variables. It is observed that the evaluation behavior in primary school students is effective on the level of physical activity
